Website access and server logs

When you access this website, technically necessary connection data may be processed by the hosting infrastructure. This can include IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, browser or device information and technical status information.

The purpose is to deliver the website, maintain technical security and diagnose errors. Where the GDPR applies, this processing is based on the legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact form and email

If you contact me through the contact form or by email, I process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, organization and message, in order to respond to your inquiry.

Where your inquiry concerns a potential contractual relationship, processing may be based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other inquiries, processing is based on the legitimate interest in receiving and responding to professional communications (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The contact form does not create a separate submission database on this website. The information is sent by email to two inboxes I use, one of which is a Gmail inbox. Email transmission and mailbox storage may therefore also involve the respective email-service providers, including Google.

The information is retained only as long as necessary for the purpose of the communication and any applicable legal retention obligations.

Cookies and analytics

This website currently does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. If this changes, this privacy notice will be updated before such tools are used.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.
